Environmental & reliability
Made for harsh outdoor environments, including rain, snow, hail, or extreme temperatures, this affordable access point extends quality Wi-Fi to outdoor seating areas in restaurants and cafés, and patios and swimming pools in boutique hotels. The Instant On AP17 supports:

Delivering multi-user capabilities and data rates of 867 Mbps on 5 GHz (.11ac) | 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (.11n) for a total 1167 Mbps throughput (a unit has one Gigabit 100/1000 uplink connection), this powerful outdoor access point is built to handle the harshest weather.
Powering your Instant On AP17
To power the Instant On AP17 access point, connect an outdoor rated Cat5e or above Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port of the Instant On AP17 to a PoE port of an 802.3af-compliant PoE Injector. Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a standard defining how to carry both power and data over an Ethernet cable.
Setup
Get up and running in minutes with the Instant On mobile app. The cloud-hosted web interface and mobile app make it easy to manage multiple Instant On access points deployed in your facility while keeping network access logins and security settings consistent. For other parts of your network, simply mix and match with different Instant On access points.

Stopping people and bots from accessing your network from the outside is critical for small businesses.
